But just a few weeks into my first month of painting I had one of my pieces accepted to be in a show at MOLAA. And the following month another was going to be in a show at The Pico House. I scurried around doing my daily art practice, delivering paintings, designing installations and having art openings, I told friends I was "acting like an artist" and they would respond, "but you ARE an artist!" And gradually the hat begin to feel like it fit. Now it almost consumes me, but in a good way!
I invite you to take a look at my work, currently displayed chronologically but soon to be organized by themes. And I encourage you to contact me if you have questions or just want to discuss art!
Even though I've been in a creative field all of my working life, I never referred to myself as an artist until 2014. I'm a maker, someone whose hands always have to be busy and artistic, yes. But was I an artist? Nah.
